Dr Elgey knows first-hand how it feels to build a family the unconventional way. He and his partner used IVF to help create their family, so he understands not only the options available to you as a fertility specialist but also has personal insights into some of the experiences patients undergoing fertility treatments may encounter.
He began his career as a scientist in a genetics lab investigating infertility and pregnancy issues, but hung up his white coat to study medicine at the University of Queensland and work more directly with the people his work benefits. His scientific background gives him further insight into what we do in our laboratory and supplements his approaches to the care provided to you.
Dr Elgey’s practice at Ava Fertility and Reproductive Health encompasses a wide range of gynaecological conditions, including endometriosis management, pelvic floor issues, cosmetic gynaecology and complex laparoscopic surgery.
