With more than 30 years of experience in fertility, obstetrics and gynaecology Professor Ledger holds specialist qualifications in infertility and reproductive medicine. Professor Ledger has unparalleled advanced knowledge in fertility medicine and science, with comprehensive research interests in all facets of reproductive medicine and surgery. Leading the fertility research group at University of New South Wales, Professor Ledger is the most published fertility specialist in the State. His studies have impacted medical practice and research in fertility medicine profoundly over the last three decades, identifying him as among the most illustrious specialists in the field.

His standing as the ‘friendly face of IVF’ has been recognised by hundreds of appreciative patients and families as he continues to convey the greatest contemporary developments in reproductive science into his medical practice.

Renowned researcher Professor Ledger is also an accomplished author with more than 300 peer-reviewed papers and journal articles, 16 books joint authored and more than 50 book chapters published on infertility and reproductive medicine, inclusive of the 2020 Oxford Textbook of Obstetrics and Gynaecology.

He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (London) and the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists. Professor Ledger also has dual subspecialist qualifications in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility (CREI, Australia) and Reproductive Medicine and Surgery (UK) rendering him exceptionally qualified to deal with infertility and hormonal matters.

Professor Ledger is proud to deliver all facets of LGBTI+ fertility treatment, from donor cycles (eggs, sperm and embryos) to surrogacy.
