Dr Harris obtained her medical degree (Bachelor of Medicine/Bachelor of Surgery) with honours at Sydney University. This followed completion of a Bachelor of Medical Science at the University of New South Wales. Dr Harris added to her impressive credentials by attaining a Master of Advanced Gynaecological Surgery qualification at the University of Western Sydney. She is also a fellow of the prestigious Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (FRANZCOG).
Her obstetrics and gynaecology specialty training was undertaken at Westmead Hospital. During this time, Dr Harris completed a one-year fellowship in minimally invasive surgery at the Sydney West Advanced Pelvic Surgery (SWAPS) unit, followed by a two-year Australasian Gynaecological Endoscopy and Surgery Society (AGES) fellowship in advanced minimally invasive reproductive surgery.
Her experience with AGES, at Monash Health, Melbourne, allowed Dr Harris to work with advanced laparoscopic reproductive surgeons and fertility specialists who are renowned in Australia and overseas.
